History

Eugene Ferraro started Business Controls in 1994 knowing that there was a better way to conduct workplace investigations. Using his experience from criminal investigations and understanding of human nature, Mr. Ferraro has crafted a respectful and highly effective method of investigations that workplaces have now been using for nearly 20 years.

In 1999, three years before Sarbanes-Oxley was enacted, Business Controls was the first company to add web technology to its employee hotline service and MySafeWorkplace® and two education iterations (MySafeSchool® and MySafeCampus®) software services were born. Companies could now offer an anonymous reporting and whistle blowing hotlines via the telephone or the Internet.

The Microsoft Partner Award was given to Business Controls in 2006 in recognition of the quality of the MySafeWorkplace® line of products. The year also brought the release of MySafeHospital® service and MySafeDashboard™, the real-time, on-demand analytics tool. 

In 2011, the 24th enhancement was made to the MySafeWorkplace® technology. MySafeCommunity® was launched, and we introduced our new Ad Hoc reporting tool, DashboardPRO™.

Today, Business Controls is a complete workplace compliance partner to companies worldwide offering the MySafeWorkplace® suite of anonymous employee hotline and case management solutions, professional investigations and policy development, and a full complement of employee misconduct and process of investigation training.
